Ready for a Reset? Why March Is the Perfect Time for a Wellness Audit

By the time March arrives, the excitement of the new year has usually worn off. The goals we set in January may already feel distant, and the routines we hoped to establish can begin to slip under the pressure of work, responsibilities, and everyday life.
That’s exactly why March is the perfect time for a wellness audit.
January is aspirational. March is honest.
A wellness audit is simply a moment to pause and check in with yourself. It’s an opportunity to look at the different areas of your life — your energy, your habits, your stress levels, your finances, your relationships, and your sense of purpose — and ask an honest question:
Is the way I’m living actually supporting the life I want to create?
March naturally invites this kind of reflection. As winter transitions into spring, the season itself reminds us that change and renewal are part of life. The days grow longer, the weather begins to warm, and many of us start to feel a natural shift in energy.
Even the time change plays a role. Adjusting our clocks is a small but powerful reminder that our routines and rhythms are not fixed. Just as the seasons change, our habits can evolve too. Spring offers an opportunity to refresh our routines — whether that means spending more time outdoors, prioritizing movement, improving sleep habits, or simply making space to breathe and reflect.
Many people think of wellness only in terms of diet and exercise, but true wellness is much broader. It includes how you manage stress, how aligned you feel with your work, the quality of your relationships, and even your financial well-being. When one area is out of balance, it often affects the others.
That’s why I do a wellness audit with my coaching clients every quarter.
Just like businesses review their performance regularly, our lives benefit from periodic reflection. A quarterly check-in gives you the chance to:
• Notice what’s working well
• Identify what may need adjustment
• Reconnect with what matters most to you
• Make small changes before stress or burnout builds
Think of it as a reset point — a chance to realign your life with your energy, priorities, and vision for the future.
March is an especially powerful time for this kind of reflection. We’re far enough into the year to see how things are actually unfolding, yet early enough to make meaningful changes that can shape the rest of the year.
